Mette Gjerskov, born 28 July 1966 in Jyllinge, daughter of former chairman of the Land Tax Commissioners Gert Gjerskov and
retired senior teacher Louise Gjerskov.

 

Political career

 

Member of the Folketing for Zealand greater constituency from 13 November 2007, and for Roskilde County constituency, February 8 2005 - November 13 2007.
The Social Democratic Party's candidate in the Roskilde nomination district from 2002.
 

Education and Employment

 

Graduate in agronomics, the Royal Danish Veterinary and Agricultural University, 1987-1993.
Mathematics, physics and chemistry, Adult Education Centre, Ballerup, 1986-1987.
Matriculated from the County Upper Secondary School in Roskilde, social studies - languages branch, 1982-1985.
 
Chief executive at the Volunteer Centre in Denmark, 2004-2005.
